MATLAB and Simulink Seminars

Wireless design in 6G era: Developing wireless systems and networks with MATLAB

Overview

Are you interested to learn:

  • What technologies enable 6G/next generation of wireless systems?
  • How to apply AI techniques to optimize wireless systems and networks?
  • How to jointly optimize digital, RF and antenna elements of a wireless system?
  • How to shorten the time from modeling an algorithm to its verified implementation on hardware?

Highlights

Through examples and case studies you will learn about:

  • Wireless cellular: 5G, LTE, and future 6G initiatives
  • (Wi-Fi) WLAN, Bluetooth, Satellite communications, Non-terrestrial Networks (NTN)
  • AI applications to wireless design including co-execution with open source trained networks.
  • RF design, Millimeter-wave, Power amplifier (PA), Digital Pre-distortion (DPD)
  • Indoor and outdoor RF propagation, ray tracing, scenario modeling
  • Over-the-air testing and measurements on RF instruments and Software-Defined Radios
  • Wireless IP creation, HDL code generation for implementation, design verification on hardware

About the Presenter

Dr. Rameez Ahmed is an application engineer at MathWorks specializing in wireless communication products. He has been with MathWorks for 8 years, spending the first 3 years in development for the communication toolbox. Currently he focuses on wireless standards (5G, LTE, WLAN, Bluetooth, Satcom) products and their applications. He holds a B. Tech degree in electrical engineering from VIT University, and an M.S and PhD in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. Before MathWorks, he did doctoral research in underwater acoustics communications at Northeastern University.
