MATLAB and Simulink Seminars

Early Verification of Analog & Mixed Signal Components for Semiconductor Design

Overview

In this webinar, we will explore how MathWorks tools can be effectively used in modeling and simulating mixed-signal systems at different levels of abstraction. With practical examples, we will show how to design mixed-signal systems and analyzing measurement data to deliver precise results. Additionally, we will illustrate how to model non-ideal analog effects in the electrical domain and integrate complex embedded digital signal processing algorithms.

Highlights

  • Introduction to Simulink and Mixed-Signal Blockset
  • Mixed-Signal behavioral modeling (model PLLs, data converters)
  • Model jitter, non-linearities, timing mismatches, fixed-point effects, and pole/zero mismatches
  • Investigate effect of imperfect phase detectors, measuring jitter, and modelling VCO phase noise
  • Developing analog models in the electrical domain for the refinement of linear and switched-mode designs
