MATLAB and Simulink Seminars

Teaching Signal Processing with MATLAB

Be part of one of the largest educational conversations of 2021! Join MathWorks for our global event regarding the future of teaching Signals and Systems. Our engineers will entertain you with an open discussion regarding common challenges in teaching Signals and Systems in foundational university courses and show you how to address them. They will present classroom-ready resources that can be immediately deployed in your course.

You will learn about various types of fundamental signals in different domains and how to make them tangible for your students. You will see how to analyze signals and their properties using different methods. Finally, we will highlight linear time invariant systems and talk about how to solve challenges in presenting underlying concepts to students using MATLAB.

You will learn about approaches and resources to teaching Signals and Systems, including:

  • Fundamental signals and their representations in various domains
  • Making understanding of the concepts like convolution and linear-time invariant systems more intuitive.
  • Increase interactivity in introductory signal processing course, using real-life applications
  • Use MATLAB Grader and pre-set problems for ease of assessments and evaluation of MATLAB assignments

Who Should Attend

Teaching staff and students interested in teaching Signals and Systems in a university course.

After the webinar, all registered participants will receive jump starter packages containing the resources presented during the session. These include the slides, examples and additional educational resources. We encourage you to try these examples. The following week we will hold a feedback session where we will cover additional technical demonstrations and answer any questions you might have.

By registering for the webinar, we will automatically reserve a place for you at the office hour session on June 23 at 1:00 PM CEST/4:30 PM IST.
