Developing Autonomous Systems: Control Algorithms

Start Time End Time
22 Oct 2026, 5:30 AM EDT 22 Oct 2026, 6:30 AM EDT

Overview

Whether your robot flies, drives, swims, or manipulates, control algorithms are the essential component for putting your higher-level autonomy algorithms into action. In this webinar, you will learn how to design, tune, implement, and test a variety of control algorithms – all using MATLAB and Simulink.

Highlights

  • Implementing controllers for path following and trajectory generation
  • Tuning and verifying performance of traditional low-level actuator controllers (such as PID)
  • Exploring modern control methods, such as model predictive control and reinforcement learning

Please note: this series is a rerun for India time zone and will be hosted by India-based engineers.

About the Presenter

Richa Singh is an Application Engineer at MathWorks India, specializing in autonomous systems development for Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, and UAV applications. She collaborates with industry leaders to accelerate the development of perception, navigation, guidance, and control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.

Her work focuses on model-based design workflows for autonomous systems, including system modeling, sensor fusion, tracking, control development, and embedded deployment. Richa holds a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay, with a specialization in Dynamics and Control.
