Software Engineer : Simulink Design Verifier Performance

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about building high performance products. You will join a tightly knit development team responsible for performance and architecture of Simulink Design Verifier product which helps customers in verification and validation of control systems modeled in Simulink. You will own performance critical apsects of the product improving its usability across thousands of engineers working on veritication of safety critical systems from industries such as aerospace and automotive.

Responsibilities

This role offers you a great opportunity to make a customer visible impact on performance of the product. Your responsibilities include:

  • Analyze product performance on multiple Simulink models and identify ways to scale it up by an order of magnitude
  • Understand customer workflows and improve performance using optimization techniques including parallel processing
  • Profile analysis algorithms and fine-tune performance using optimal C++ implementations
  • Own end-to-end development including desiging scalable solutions, high-quality code and unit testing
  • Work closely with quality engineering, documentation, and program management to ensure consistently high quality software releases

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Practical C++ experience
  • Experience with debuggers and performance analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with large code bases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
