Software Engineer - UI Web

Job Summary

The MathWorks Build and Test Software team is looking for a motivated, fast-learning candidate with experience in web development for analyzing and displaying build and test results. You will be joining a fast-paced, dynamic software development team that is constantly solving new and challenging problems. We develop several web based applications that are the backbone of a development process that is continuously evolving. 


You will be designing, implementing, and unit testing dashboards that report status and data analysis relevant to our internal development process. There are dashboards that are in use by Development and you would be responsible for redesigning significant portions of this application to meet new requirements, improve maintainability and leverage modern web technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant technical field.
  • Experience with server side programming in Java/J2EE(JSP, Struts)
  • 1+ years of professional Web UI development experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as, JQuery, Node.js and Ext JS
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation skills
  • Knowledge of contemporary best practices in Web standards, Web design, and emerging Web technologies
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Flexibility to take on varied tasks
