Marketing Specialist - Account Based Marketing

Job Summary

MathWorks India is seeking a marketing and communications professional who will play a key role in defining our marketing strategies for a selection of critical customer accounts through the development of account-based marketing activities. The focus of this individual contributor role will be to work closely will the stakeholder including sales and marketing management to define, execute and report on appropriate marketing plans with an end goal of increasing account engagement, driving adoption and facilitating expansion of our solutions and services within a portfolio of named accounts. As a part of the marketing & communications team he/she will be responsible for managing and implementing PR campaigns that tell compelling stories about MathWorks. 

Responsibilities

  • Build integrated annual marketing plans (incorporating digital, event, social media and other tactics) for named accounts in support of agreed-upon account objectives 
  • Develop and build strong relationships with the account teams in charge of these customers, with key customer stakeholders and the internal MathWorks customer engagement teams 
  • Work closely with account teams and customer champions for onboarding and engagement activities. 
  • Serve as the marketing champion/ABM subject matter expert on the account teams 
  • Supports prospecting efforts within target accounts (new divisions, new groups) 
  • Manage and execute the customer onboarding process for accounts in their teams
  • Operate as a core member of the team building a scalable, global account-based marketing function.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various internal international and local teams (Sales, Technical Engineering, Industry Marketing, Consulting and Training teams) in achievement of enterprise account objectives 
  • Build and execute the public relations (PR) plan extending across print and digital/social for the country office working closely with agency/vendor, local and international teams 
  • Identify, develop and engage with external influencers to amplify the value propositions 
  • Measure and report on the impact of these marketing activities including PR tactics/channels to support our overall account goals and objectives  

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in Account based marketing or account management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to manage through multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Analytical capacity to understand marketing and sales data in the context of the business, derive insights and counter measures (if any)
  • Demonstrated ability to build highly effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail
  • Experience in digital/online marketing tactics and technologies 
  • Experience in undertaking PR campaigns in India
  • Handled agencies and worked collaboratively with various teams
