How to check if a serial port is already connected or not

Hello,

Is there some function which indicates if a serial port is already connected and open? I do not want to know this by the error thrown when trying to open it again. Is there any other way?

check imaqhwinfo function in help. continue with using matrox.it will shows you the devices which connected and known for your pc
