Hello everyone,
I have a small problem with Simscape Multibody Link installed in SolidWorks 2020:
When I export my CAD model with Multibody Link all STEP files are light grey but not in the color of the original part in SolidWorks. I had a look in the created XML file and it seems like that the color in the VisualProperties is already grey (picture below).
I know that only STEP AP 214 supports color information and not STEP AP 203 but I'm not sure if that's the problem. Is there any way to define the STEP export settings for Simscape Multibody Link? Or is there any other problem I'm not aware of?
I'm grateful for all advices. :-)

Check carefully how the colors are assigned to the parts in SolidWorks. Even if the part appears to have a color, if the color is assigned to a surface but not the part, the part will appear colored in SolidWorks but the exported solid will not have that color.

Thank you for your quick reply. I think that is exectly the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't find a quick way to assign the colors to the parts unless doing it manually for each solid. Since that seemed quite time-consuming in SolidWorks, I decided to do it directly in the Matlab DataFile after importing the assembly to Simscape.
