How can I avoid ALSA errors cluttering up the output?

Hi there,
I have a script that does some stuff with audio signals. Among other things, it plays some audio using soundsc(). When this script is run on a Linux machine without an audio output device (e.g. a GitHub Actions runner), I get a lot of errors from ALSA (see the end of this post). Mind that I get these errors even if just call audiodevinfo().
Since I know what causes these errors I do not want them to clutter up the output like that. Is there any way to suppress them?
I know that soundsc() throws its own warning if no output device is available and I know how to turn it off. This does not make the ALSA errors go away, though.
Any help would be appreciated.
Error output:

Hi Simon,
I understand that you need to supress the errors thrown by the ALSA playback block when there is no audio output device connected.
As in your case you are already aware of the cause/source of the error, you can keep that part of the code in a TRY/CATCH block and handle them.
The below code draws an outline of how to do it:
try
a = notaFunction(5,6);
catch
warning('Problem using function. Assigning a value of 0.');
a = 0;
end
Alternatively, you can try
command &>> /”path to log file”
this will append any “stdout and stderr to the file of your choice instead of cluttering the command window.
Please refer to the following resources for more details:
Hope this helps!
