Text box as subplot

I would like to insert a textbox as a subplot in my figure. I have a figure with 3 graphs and the fourth subplot I would like to insert a textbox with exlpanantion.

Something like this?

figure(1)
p1 = subplot(4,1,1);
p2 = subplot(4,1,2);
p3 = subplot(4,1,3);
p4 = subplot(4,1,4);
text(0.5,0.5,'Explanation'); axis off

Jelle,

position can be changed based on you axis setting.

If you change the part axis off to axis on you can see that the text location is at x=0.5 and y=0.5 which corresponds with text( 0.5,0.5 ,'Explanation');
