I often use the command 'addpath' in my scripts to include certain folders on my local or external hardrive.
This has worked well until a recent security update on my macbook.
Now any 'addpath' command to my local drive creates a 'Directory access failure' warning while addpath still works fine for my external drive.
I can successfully add paths to folders of my local drive manually using the 'Set Path' button and then scrolling to the desired folder.
The path name in the list is then exactly the same as the one I specified with the 'addpath' command.
Thanks for your help!

See https://kb.synology.com/en-us/C2/tutorial/How_to_enable_Full_Disk_Access_on_a_Mac for how to grant full disk access -- though you might prefer to only grant through the Files and Folders section instead.
