Hi there,
I would like to use the Data Acquisition Toolbox to record some data with my newly purchased NI USB-6451 DAQ. However, it looks like this model is still not supported. When I ran daq.getDevices, I got:
ni: National Instruments(TM) USB-6451 * (Device ID: 'Dev1')
* Device currently not supported. For supported devices see Data Acquisition Hardware Vendors.
I have installed both newest versions of Data Acquisition Toolbox (Version 23.2) and Data Acquisition Toolbox Support Package for National Instruments NI-DAQmx Devices (Version 23.2.0).
Can anybody help me figure out what is going on?
Thanks!

It is hypothetically possible that the USB-6451 is "close" to something that is supported. However, it just isn't supported. Whether it would take a lot of work, or whether it is just a matter of creating a new "alias" to an existing device is something I do not know.
One thing I notice is that the table above lists support for devices starting at latest R2015a, which suggests Mathworks has not put in much work at all in supporting newer NI devices.

I also noticed that the 6451 is 20 bit resolution. All of the other supported devices I happened to look at were at most 16 bit. It is possible that I just did not happen to check the specifications of a supported device that supports more than 16 bits, but it is also possible that the 6451 is not supported because of needing more than 16 bits.
