How to animate the simulation of a multibody system if I have already setup the simulink model of my system (not using simcape)?

I have already setup the simulink model of my system without using simscape blocks/models. I also have the cad model (assembly) of my system with defined geometrical constraints. Is there a way to utilize my cad model for creating animation without using simscape. Or perhaps, it would be even better if I can import my cad into simmechanics and use it (simmechanics) for only creating the animation (without defining any physics equations governing its behavior). Basically, I am looking to validate the physics of my model to see (through animation) if the system is behaving as expected in reality. Any insights will be appreciated.

Did you try the Simulink 3D Animation package?

A possible solution is to use multiple Cartensian Joints and Gimbal Joints in the Simscape Multibody. Set the Force and Moton fields in the Actuation properties to Actumatically Computed and Provided by Input. Attached Solid to the joints and use the imported CAD files as their Geometries. Put the simulation results in different variables and feed them to the Simscape Multibody model.
