Problem 1:
- Is UAC enabled or disabled on the systems?
- Are the Administrator passwords the same on both systems?
Problem 2/3: Erratic service problems could be caused by:
- Multi-homed setup. Sometimes the packets route out one NIC, sometimes the other. Do you have multiple NICs? Are they both configured to access the same networks?
- How quick is the ping time between hosts? Are they on the same switch?
- Are there issues in any of the Event Logs?
