Take a long time(~ 1 min.) whenever clicking in any script editor in Mac OS 10.15.6

I observed this issue since R2019a. The problem does not occur in R2018b. Recently, I installed R2020b and the same issue still occurs.

Reproduce steps:

1. Click New Script

2. Click anywhere in the opened EDITOR (It takes over 1 min. every clicking in Editor.)

I do not see any issues when using Live Sciprt like clicking anywhere, scrolling, etc. Also, other uses are OK including launching MATLAB, using command lines such as "'tic; edit test_newlycreation; toc'" => result is 2 seconds and it is normal.

I increased JAVA Heap Memory like 3000MB in 16GB RAM and checked "None" about "Source control" in Preference > General. And I closed any anti-virus/memory management programs.

This lagging issue of using MATLAB Editor is due to use Magnet which is a window manager for Mac that keeps the workspace organized. Turning it off should resolve the issue.

You can choose to ignore the current application from the menu bar icon of Magnet. Choose "Ignore MATLAB" to disable Magnet for MATLAB.
