Holding the mouse button in GUI

hi, I am wrting a program in MATLAB GUI, in which i use a pushbutton. Well i need a mechanism such that when user click and hold the Pushbutton the sphere in the axes shall move and as soon as he releases the Pushbutton, the sphere should stop moving. Please asvise is there any CALLBACK for Pushbutton that can do so or is there anyy other approach.

Some function written for ButtonDownFcn maybe? Or can you make a slider/scroll type button that controls the axis view, maybe you could modify it for your use?
