Connect Arduino WiFi Shield to Arduino Hardware

The Arduino® Wi-Fi® Shield is an add-on board for Arduino hardware. It is based on HDG104 wireless LAN 802.11b/g System in-Package. The HD104 comes with a network stack that supports TCP and UDP connections.

Note

The Arduino Wi-Fi shield may require a firmware upgrade. For more information, see Upgrade the firmware for the Arduino WiFi shield.

  1. Place the Wi-Fi shield firmly on the Arduino hardware.

    The Wi-Fi shield stacked on the Arduino hardware is shown in the following figure.

  2. Connect the Arduino board to your computer using a USB cable for programming the Arduino.
