I would like to export a .mat file containing complex numbers to use in a VHDL program. I need to get the data in the form (-1,-1),(0,0),(1,1)... Is there a simple way of doing this with MATLAB commands?

"The form (-1,-1),(0,0),(1,1)" is not a clear explanation. This is not valid Matlab syntax, such that it cannot be guessed, what e.g. the parenthesis exactly mean in this example. Is this a string?
