I am doing simulation of a Oleo pnuematic suspension for a mining truck.. I want to give flow and pressure (Hydraulic fluid) as input for the fixed orifice but i dont know how.. Also I want to do the simulation in similar way for the clearance between suspension and the piston.. Please help me..

Sorry I do not have experience with SimMechanics myself.

If this is correct: "My exact requirement is finding out the pressure drop and flow across the fixed orifice for various forces on the Hydraulic fluid."
Then connect a Pressure Sensor in parallel to the orifice and a Flow Sensor in series with the orifice.
You cannot specify both pressure and flow... those are complementary. With a source, you specify one and SimHydraulics computes the other. For example with a Flow Source, Simscape ensures that the specified flow is applied by generating whatever pressure to make that happen.

Hi Guy
I appreciate your response.. I will definitely try the method you said.. One more thing is Do you why is it necessary to use the translational spring and damper at the R port of a single acting hydraulic cylinder???.. I am not sure about this..
Thanks
