Experience and Tips on colormap for waterfall plots?

Hello,

I'm using waterfall plots, and am experimenting to find the most pleasing and informative colormap for such plots. The best so far are "hot" and "hsv", which show the peaks without exaggerating them. I know people do a lot with colormaps!

Any thoughts are welcome.
