height of Unified distance matrix or U -matrix.

Is there any way we can see the height of the unified distance matrix once Som has been trained. in matlab 2010 it just provides the option of plotting the U-matrix using the plotsomnd command. but it does not provide any labelling and values of u-matrix. is there any way to do it ?????
