I have binary image. I want to find the distance transform then apply the local max to it. any suggestions?

What does "Apply the local max" to it mean? Do you mean imdilate(), which does the local max in a sliding/local window?
edtImage = bwdist(binaryImage); % Calc Euclidean Distance Transform.
% Now get the local max in a 5x5 window everywhere.
localMaxImage = imdilate(edtImage, true(5)); % Whatever window size you want.
Let me know if you want the local max only if it's at the center of the window, like if you want to find ridgelines or something.

Could you please have a look at my question:
I want to get the following result from the segmented image:

That's a separate question. What about this question about distance transform followed by local max? Didn't I answer that?

I know ... I want to got the following result

and your answer gave me the following one

Regarding my question:

I have recieved the following suggestion from an Image Processing Expert:
- Take the segmentation
- If the vessels are white, compute the Distance Transform from black.
- Apply a Local Max to the Distance Transform.
What do you think?

Make it easy for us to see your images and links. Read this and then fix your post: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/13205-tutorial-how-to-format-your-question-with-markup

You did it in your other post. Can't you just click on the green image with the brown frame and upload one from your hard drive? Or type alt-printscreen and go to http://snag.gy and paste it in and then paste the URL it gives you into the "Web" field when you click the image icon.

Ok, second choice is better. Thank you

Still didn't work. All I see is a missing image symbol.
