Having some issues understanding Matlab and Simulink. This is my first year as a student using it and I have to create a Buck converter fora homework assignment, problem is, i cannot find any diodes, inductors or caps within the block library of Simulink?
Any help would be appreciated.

To do that type of modeling in Simulink, you need the SimElectronics toolbox. http://www.mathworks.com/products/simelectronics/?s_cid=global_nav

You can modelize it with the library of Simscape, into it you will find all you need as much in Simelectronics, as in Simpowersystem, try with it unless you want to do it with transfers functions
