Which function in Optimization tool box should I use for implementing Sum of Squared Difference​(Unconstra​ined)?

I am having two images, where second image is the warped image of first one,.

1. How do I use optimization toolbox to implement SSD block by block to estimate the match? 2. How can we choose a block in an image?
