Remapping keyboard keys during program

Hi. Just a short question: I'm wondering whether MATLAB can do something like AutoHotkey does. Is there anyway to, say, remap keyboard key "E" to key "ENTER", etc? I have searched online here and I only found things related to keyboard shortcuts which are unrelated. Another way I imagine is that maybe there is a way to order MATLAB to run an already written AutoHotkey script I save on Desktop or something. Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thank you.

Matlab does not play nice with AutoHotkey.

It depends on what you want to do. Can you give a bit more context?
