Does Matlab coder work with the Global Optimization Toolbox?

I currently get the error message when trying to compile some code with Matlab Coder 2021b: "patternsearch is not supported for code generation"

Are there any plans for this? Is there a fundamental reason it doesn't work now or was it just seen as too niche for the effort at this time?

Hi Dave,

I passed your feedback to the development team, so they prioritize supporting this function for code generation.

If you could attach some example that shows how would you use this function with MATLAB Coder (what options you'd pass to it, also - do you want to generate C/C++ for deployment, or for acceleration - what is your use case), that information would help greatly, and bolster the case for supporting this function.

If you would prefer not to show your code here, please feel free contact MathWorks technical support and ask them to pass this information to the development team, that would also work for us.

Thanks. Punchline is I want to solve a model for parameter estimation and deploy to field. There are a lot of local minima and so far patternsearch is the most reliable. I will send more details directly to tech support as they are proprietary.
