Hi I'm looking to solve the following PDE for P:
.
where and (Symmetric System).
The parameter values are , and and the solution for P should give a plot that looks something like the attached.
I have no experience with solving PDEs, any guidance with this situation would be appreciated.

Your pde is linear with respect of P. Do you need to solve it in time domain, are you interested only in the steady state solution? What does it represent from the physical point of view?

Hi Torsten/ Riccardo. Thanks for the reply.
I will respond here now so as to not clutter the answer section (which I accidentally just did, thanks Riccardo for pointing that out).
In terms of acquiring the boundary/ initial conditions, there isn't anything specifically defined so I'm not really sure whether progress can be made.
Thanks both for the help anyways.

Ok, so the equation written above was incomplete. However, Torsten is right: in order to get help it is mandatory to define precisely which are the boundary conditions, the initial state (if you want to execute a simulation in time domain). Then we can help (perhaps).
By the way, you should not reply by using "Answer". Answer is reserved to answers to the posed question, not to discussions or answers to comments (like in this case).
