error mex compiler

"The mex compiler '<unknown>' is not supported for simulation builds. Use 'mex -setup' to select a supported compiler." I have already installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) 6.1 but i still have same error. when i try to see mex compiler in command mode using mex setup as soon below it doesn't show any compiler. ">> mex -setup Please choose your compiler for building external interface (MEX) files:
Would you like mex to locate installed compilers [y]/n? y
Select a compiler:
[0] None
Compiler: "

Which Matlab version do you use, 32 or 64 bits?

Are you on 64-bit MATLAB? If yes, you may not have installed x64 compilers for Visual Studio. See Solution#1-6IJJ3L for additional installation instructions.
