matlab plot for non separable function

is it necessary to separate y=f(x) , to use plot of function ?
cant i write f(x,y)=0 and plot ; in case y and x are non separable ,
then is there way to plot?

What do you mean by "in case y and x are non separable"?
Can you give an example?

consider non linear equation
sin(xy) + y + 2 =0
separting x , y is difficult in this case

What exactly you are expecting?

I believe you want to plot custom function over a range without having to pass the x and y points.I guess plot_expression_or_funtion might be able to help your cause.
%Using the fplot func to plot y=x^2+2x+5 over the range [1,50]
fplot(@(x) (x*x)+3*x+5,[1 50])
Warning: Function behaves unexpectedly on array inputs. To improve performance, properly vectorize your function to return an output with the same size and shape as the input arguments.
Hope this helps.
