looking for the formulas required to generate an augur surface

Hello,

I need to generate a surface object that describes an auger shape simillar to the one in the picture attached (no need for the cylindrical peice, just the auger shape).

I am able to generate the directory line but not the surface

Googled for the design formuals but no much luck

Any help would be appriciatated.
