Please explain how a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Simulink model works.
These are models I have referred on MATLAB File exchange;
http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35704-solar-batter-charger-for-system-offline-using http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/34752-grid-connected-pv-array http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/48080-solar-mppt-with-resistive-load http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35796-system-demo-for-solar-and-mppt-charger http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/48118-multiphase-boost-converter-in-solar-battery-charger http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35736-solar-and-mppt http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/39406-mppt-based-photovoltaic--pv--system
In the above models, I tried to check whether the solar module was operating at Maximum Power Point (MPP) by checking if the output from the Buck-Boost converter, to the load, coincided with the MPP for the solar module.
As far as I understand, a solar panel outputs maximum power near the bend of its I/V curve. This can be observed in the following model by varying its load; http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/49068-simulink-model-of-photovoltaic-module
A detailed explanation would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

The method of calculating the maximum power point varies. Which method do you want to talk about?
