CSV or XLSX to write data

Hi, I have an app in app designer that writes data to a .mat and .xlsx file, the data in the .mat file only takes a few seconds but in the .xlsx like 3 minutes.

My options for the data write are CSV and XLSX, but I dont want to change everything now, is CSV faster? If csv is 10 seconds faster, for me its worth it to change now everything.
