Hi,
I'm trying to model a GDT based on a paper called Gas Discharge Tube Modeling With PSpice. Julio Guillermo Zola

I tried to implement this on Simscape but it doesn'n work. The solver has lots of problems with the simulation and I tried to switch to put in the solver configuration block to change the solver to " Local Sover" and use Backward Euler and decreased the step sixe but the results explode
Any idea on what could happen? (Find the model attached)

As a start, it looks like you've used simple diode models and put breakdown voltage where forward voltage goes. I would choose a higher fidelity diode model and paramterize it more closely to the spice defaults from that paper. It also looks you are using mostly generic paramters for the transistors and I don't know if those line up well with the default values for a spice transistor, so that is another good area to look at for a start.
