5g toolbox problem
Mostrar comentarios más antiguos
Dear,
Every time when I try to add the 5g toolbox via the Ads on option in Matlab R2023a, I successfully complete all the options and matworks informs me that it will contact me regarding the import and installation of the 5g toolbox, but I do not receive anything on my email.
Maybe the 5g toolbox is paid for or is it something else?

The 5G Toolbox is a licensed MathWorks product and is not included with MATLAB by default. If your license does not already cover it, requesting it through the Add-On Explorer will not trigger an immediate installation.
I came across two relevant questions in the community, which you may find useful:
- https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/476146-i-have-a-student-license-and-want-to-install-5g-toolbox
In the latter discussion, one user clarifies that the 5G Toolbox cannot be purchased for use with a student license. Students can only access it if their faculty or staff have Academic licenses that already include the 5G Toolbox under a Campus Wide License.
If the follow-up email is not received:
- Ensure the email linked to your MathWorks account is correct and active.
- For institutional licenses, the license administrator will handle the request with MathWorks.

Terminology has changed since I posted that response in September 2020. These days, "Total Academic Headcount" licenses are no longer used, having been replaced by Campus-Wide license.
