intlinprog in student version 2013a

I am currently trying to solve the traveling salesman problem in my math class project here is an example : http://www.mathworks.com/help/optim/ug/travelling-salesman-problem.html

but apparently I need this intlinprog(), is there any way to solve this problem without this function, or get it for free ? or upgrade my old version to 2014 for free ?

Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade student licenses. You have to purchase a new MATLAB version.

Fortunately, R2015a just came out, and you can purchase it with a number of toolboxes, including Optimization Toolbox, for $99 in the USA, and similar prices in other parts of the world.

If you have an old version of MATLAB that includes the ga function (Global Optimization Toolbox or Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox), you can try this example instead, but it is not as reliable, robust, or fast as using intlinprog.

Since my method used INTLINPROG by YALMIP in Matlab, I want to know more information on INTLINPROG. Can you provide the detailed steps of INTLINPROG algorithm?
