Open Script Layout Error

I have caused the open scripts in the editor to appear towards the right, instead of the top, while my trackpad was bugging out, so I don't actually know the inputs that made this change. This makes it really inconvienent to split screen, so I want to know how to change it back to default. (the code here is irrelevant)

Hi Eamon,
To restore the layout to default, you can drag the tabs by holding the left-click button of the mouse to change the tabs' position in the layout. Given below is an example of the same:
Holding the left-click button of the mouse on the tabs and dragging the cursor to the top

First of all, I can tell that you have the editor docked: if you had it undocked then there would be a toolstrip or the decoration near the downward triangle would be different.
I can also tell that you are not using New Desktop.
I do not have a solution for the "old" Desktop case. Also, the solution given by @nick does not work for me.
For the case of using New Desktop:
In the case of using New Desktop, above the list of tabs, there is a tab that has on it what looks like "" (four vertical marks). To the right of that tab, there will be three vertical dots. Left-Click on the 3 vertical dots. In the menu that comes up, one of the options is "Tab Position". If you hover over that menu entry, a radio-box selector will pop up, with the choices Top, Bottom, Left, Right. Click on Top.

You can hover over the icon in the editor at the following place, and the mouse icon will change from 'pointer' to 'move' icon. Subsequently, the tabs can be then dragged to the desired position.
I hope this solution works for you.
