Problem with RLC block
Mostrar comentarios más antiguos
I am using the blue component RLC, setting R = 100kOhms and L = 0.0011/377 ;
My issue is this, When I set SERIES RL then I get a very high current in the circuit, but when I select onle R then the current is low as expected. It doesn't make sense having high current when putting a series L which impedance is Low compare to R, both option should have the same current values. what's wrong?
this is my solver:

My circuit is a simple source -transformer-load, the transformer is just 1:1 source s 300kV.
This is the current wjhen RLC load is "SERIES RL"

Here is the sme circuit but with RLC Load just a resistor R, not change in value. this looks more reasonable.

yes, the current should be the same since the inductance impedence is very small compared to 100kohm. I dont think this is to do with the solver honestly, might be worth checking the series RL config and units again
