"verify hardware selection" in fixed-point advisor

Hello,, in the fixed-point advisor, if we don't choose hardware (verify hardware selection) it does not proceed. If I dont like to target to any harware but target is vhdl code for cadence layout etc.

You can select Device vendor "Generic" and Device type "Custom" and then continue to use the Fixed-Point Advisor.

Alternatively, you can just leave the Fixed-Point Advisor at this step, return to the Fixed-Point tool and run the Data collection section, then the Propose word lengths section.
