MATLAB hang while inverting a matrix

why MATLAB hang while inverting that matrix, I left it more than a day willing to get any result, but nothing happened
K_total\[0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;1;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0;0];

Your K_total is symbolic so you are asking for a symbolic solution rather than a numeric solution.

yes, exactly The answer supposed to be 21x1 matrix, I notice that it took all of the ram memory (on a device with 8G ram)
How can i get that symbolic matrix?

You may think that a symbolic result with only 21 unknowns cannot be too big, but it will be IMMENSE.

I cannot read the .mat file as I do not have the symbolic toolbox, so I do not know how complex it is.
But remember that even just the exact solutions of a quartic is very big.
