Extracting element values from a matrix in Simulink

I have a covariance matrix P(k) that's [2x2] I want to read the values of the diagonal elements with a scope. I was wondering how this could be done?

You can use a selector block

I'm sorry for restating the question, but for a four by four matrix, I was wondering how to setup the selector so that I could output the diagonal elements as a [1x4] or [4x1]?
