Installing IOS support Packages Error DOWNAPPNOUPD

I am trying to install the IOS support package but the install fails at the running app stage with the error code: DOWNAPPNOUPD. The test device is an iPhone 5 running iOS 8.4. I have no problems running the app from Xcode on the phone yet i cannot get the support package to install. Does anyone have any idea what i am doing wrong. Should Xcode be running will the package is trying to install.

I think you can try updating your iOS to 9.0 or later.
