Disable launch of editor window with tabs from a previous (still live) MATLAB session when a new session is started

Before I begin please note that the following setting is already in place:
Preferences > Editor/Debugger ----> Disabled 'On restart reopen files from previous MATLAB session'
When I start a new MATLAB session while already working on an old session with some tabs open on editor window (undocked), the new session again launches the same tabs in the editor window. How do I disable this? I have searched all the options under Preferences but I cannot fix this. Thanks.
