Code performance tremendously slower than before

Performance of unchanged code has slowed down tremendously from few seconds to several minutes. Nothing in the code has changed, so profiling to improve performance will not solve the problem. Task manager shows CPU usage capped at 25%. The 32-bit version runs faster than the 64-bit version of Matlab.
The change occurred after IT tried to fix a conflict between the 64-bit version and security SW that prevents Matlab from running. Are there settings within Windows or the registry that will cause this problem?

You are going to have to give us more to go on here. What conflict with what security software? What version of MATLAB? What OS?
25% CPU usage on a 4 or more core/thread machine might be normal.
Profiling will still show what line of code slowed down or is taking a long time which may help to identify the cause of the problem.

Sometimes, removing the orange color warning in the script file makes execution faster. Try this if you have not.
