./ meaning in Matlab

Please can you tell me what is the meaning of this operator: ./ I want to use it here: precision = (1:num_relevant_images) ./ locations_sorted;

 [1 2 3]./[10 20 30]

The result is

 [1/20 2/20 3/30]

You can also do the element wise multiplication

[1 2 3].*[10 20 30]
