is it possible to import GPS data in DDD format and create a map with the points plotted?

I am new to the Mapping Toolbox. I have an Excel spreadsheet with a series of lat and long positions in decimal format. Is it possible to import them and plot these points on a geographical map?

You could start with the readtable function.
