Using verbose produces error

Undefined function or variable 'verbose'.

MATLAB does not have any inbuilt function or variable named verbose. Did you read about it in the MATLAB documentation ?

If you want a verbose option, then it is trivial to define it yourself:

 verbose = false;
 ...
 if verbose
    disp(...)
 end
