how does matlab interprets a decimal fraction like -.3536 in fixed point representation? 1.1010011 or .11010011
can anyone explain how to use fi function to set the above values .....

The fixed point toolbox is configurable to represent it in several different ways, according to how you create the fixed point object.

can you show an example how to configure fi tool for representing above mentioned values?
