Simulink doesn't load

While Matlab works fine, whenever I start Simulink, either by clicking on the Home tab or in the command line, it gets stuck at loading. At the same time, I can interact with the open Matlab window. Since no errors are reported, I can't understand what's the source of the problem.

I have Matlab R2016b in Ubuntu 14.04.

Can you run the following command to open the Simulink Library Browser?

>> slLibraryBrowser;
