MATLAB & Git integration - remember credentials

Is there any way I can get MATLAB to remember my Git credentials so I don't need to enter them each time I push changes? I'm using R2016b on a Mac with a web based Git repository.

MATLAB R2021a now automatically remembers your username and password for HTTPS.
